Casey M. Vokal, 29 of Eau Claire passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems – Eau Claire.

Casey was born on February 27, 1989 to Maria (Streeter) Vokal and M. Vokal in Leominster, Massachusetts. Casey was known for his warmth as a friend who would listen, helping others with errands, hanging out, and entertaining friends and their kids. Casey loved skateboarding, playing pool and poker. Casey also absolutely loved to drive.

Casey is survived by his mother, Maria; brothers, Cole Vokal and Dean Schreiner; grandparents, Joan Streeter, Joseph and Audrey Vokal; half-brothers: Mitchell Gahler, Wyatt Vokal, and Jesse Vokal; Aunts: Therese (Michael) Crowell, Rose (Lukás) Slíva, Christine Mitts, and Patricia Streeter; Uncles: Joseph Streeter, Michael Streeter, and David (Laura) Streeter; as well as fifteen cousins.

Casey was preceded in death by his grandfather, William J. Streeter and his half-sister, Krystina Reckow.

Memorial visitation will be held on Friday, April 20, 2018 at Smith Funeral Chapel from 4:00 – 6:00 pm with a time of sharing beginning at 5:30 pm. Friends and family may leave online condolences at www.smithfuneralec.com.

  1. Maria and Family I am so sorry to hear of Casey’s passing. I do remember Casey from hanging with my son, Tyler over the years. Tyler talks of Casey fondly. May he rest in peace.

    My sympathies on Casey’s passing. Things were not always so easy for him when I knew him, but what I will remember most is that sly grin and chuckle.
