Howard Dean Dawson, 65 of Eau Claire passed away on Tuesday February 12, 2019 at his home with his loving daughter by his side.

Howard was born on January 6, 1954 to Herbert and Lois (Smith) Dawson in Eau Claire. Howard was a hardworking man. He had many jobs in his lifetime, however the job he loved most was the business that he started, HD Lawn Care. Howard loved to do landscaping and lawncare for his customers. He enjoyed planting flowers to watch them bloom and for the wonderful aroma they gave off. You would always see ornaments in his yard. Howard had white picket fencing, bird baths, fountains, and a wind mill. Quite often, at the end of a long day, you would see Howard sitting outside enjoying a Diet Coke. He also loved his “boys,” Poochini and Snoopy.

Howard is survived by his children; Bill Dawson and Michelle Dawson of Eau Claire; granddaughter, Madeline Dawson of Fall Creek; three step-children, Cimberlee Malmquist, Curtis (Theresa) Wegerer, and Clinton (Tammy) Wegerer all of Eau Claire; many step grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Mark (Lori) Dawson of Neillsville, Donald (Ardelle) Dawson of Green Bay, Marlene (Albert) Sylvester of Eau Claire, and Donna (Tom) Bignell of IL; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.
