Jerome N. Wheeler, 76 of Eau Claire passed away on Friday, March 23, 2018 at Dove Healthcare-West.
Jerry was born to Donald H. and Edna (Cowell) Wheeler on November 4, 1941 in Eau Claire. He was united in marriage to Wanda Severson on March 10, 1962 at Drammen Lutheran Church in Mondovi. Jerry loved the outdoors, especially through fishing, hunting and gardening. He enjoyed collecting carnival glass and cookie jars.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 56 years, Wanda of Eau Claire; son Donald (Dawn) Wheeler of Eau Claire; daughter Angela (Harold) Cyr of Hastings, MN; grandchildren: Matthew (Miranda) Wheeler, Nichole (Josh) Brantner, Danielle Storlie, Nathan Wheeler, William Wheeler and Carson Wheeler; and two great-grandchildren. Jerry is further survived by his sister-in-laws: Marilyn (Cecil) Lee, Miohne (Gus) Nichols, and Judy (Dave) Larson and by other relatives and friends.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and grandson Justin Wheeler.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Smith Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at 2:30 pm with Pastor Barb Koch officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1:00 pm until the time of service. Family and friends may leave online condolences at www.smithfuneralec.com.
