Lucille Stoll

Lucille R. Stoll, 92 of Eau Claire passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at Oakwood Villa.

Lucille was born on February 19, 1923 to Ernie and Rose (Ottinger) Gilbertson in Drammen, WI. She grew up on the family farm in Drammen. She married Rodney Stoll on April 9th, 1950. She worked for Pope and Talbot for over 30 years and retired in 1985. Lucille loved fishing, hunting, animals, dancing, needlework, camping, going up north to their cabins in Clam Lake and Gordon, and traveling in her later years. She loved her family above all else. Lucille was a very positive person, had a great sense of humor, and was always happy. She was a wonderful cook and baker. She enjoyed making lefse, sandbakkels, krumkaka, and rosettes.

Lucille is survived by her very special son, Duane (Shirley) Gilbertson of Mondovi, WI; two granddaughters, Debra Annen of Eau Claire and Nichole Gilbertson of Mondovi; one grandson, Terry (Dawn) Gilbertson of Fall Creek; five great-grandchildren, Candace (Tom) Bresina, Mitcheal Anderson, John Gilbertson, Jessica Gilbertson, and Kyle Gilbertson; and one great-great granddaughter Amber Bresina.

She was preceded by her husband Rodney Stoll and her parents, Ernie and Rose Gilbertson.

The family would like to thank Oakwood Hills Retirement and Oakwood Villa for their care and compassion. A special thank you to her caregiver, Julie Hayden, for the special friendship she shared with Lucille. Lucille’s legacy will live on through her family, friends, and all the people she touched throughout her life.

Funeral Services will be on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 11:00 at Smith Funeral Chapel with Pastor David Irgens officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the funeral home on Saturday. A private family burial will be at Drammen Lutheran Cemetery in Mondovi, Wisconsin.
