Marlys E. Berg, 73 of Eau Claire passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Mayo Clinic Health System – Eau Claire.
Marlys was born to Edward and Norma (Gunderson) Felton on June 8, 1944 in Eau Claire. She was united in marriage to Roger Berg in October of 1964. Marlys loved being outside especially through gardening, fishing, or camping. She also enjoyed crafting, painting, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Marlys is survived by her sons: Richard (Sherry) Berg of Menomonie and Robert (Tari Tucker) Berg of Elk Mound; grandsons: Devin (Lauren) Berg and Joshua Bahr; great-grandchildren: Nora and Olin Berg; siblings: Roger (Marion) Felton, Gail (Hazel Berger) Felton, Edward Felton Jr. and Hazel (Gary) Rud. She is further survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Marlys was preceded in death by her husband Roger, sons: Rodney Berg and Steven Carpenter, parents, and brothers: Donald and Lauren Felton.
A Funeral Service will be held at Concordia Lutheran Church on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at 11:00 am with Pastor Aaron Hamilton. Visitation will be held at Smith Funeral Chapel on Monday from 4:00 – 7:00 pm and one hour prior to service at church on Tuesday. Burial will follow the service at Rest Haven Cemetery.
