Samantha M. Coyle, 18 of Eau Claire passed away on Friday, August 18, 2017 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems-Eau Claire.

Sam was born on October 20, 1998 to Michael Coyle and Tammy Brewer in Eau Claire.  Sam was a friend to everyone she met. She was very involved in the Lupus Foundation and research since her diagnosis 8 years ago.  She was an organ and eye donor after her passing.  

Sam is survived by her parents, Tammy Brewer of Eau Claire and Michael Coyle and her momma number 2, Amy Stratton of Chippewa Falls; brothers, Sabastian Coyle of Eau Claire, Tyler Stratton of Chippewa Falls, and Joshua Coyle of Holcombe, WI; sister, Payton Coyle-McNamara of Chippewa Falls; grandparents, Ollie Sr.(Annette) Coyle of Granton, WI, Linda (Dan) Riley of Jadwin, MO, Gail Larson of Eau Claire, and Franklin Brewer Sr. of Pendleton, OR; great-grandmothers, Dorothy Coyle of Marshfield, WI and Geraldine Harsh of Eau Claire; aunts and uncles, Ollie Jr. (Lisa) Coyle of Granton, WI, Scott (Tina) Coyle of City Point, WI, and Jeff Coyle of Chippewa Falls, Sara Smith of Arcadia, WI, Frank Brewer Jr. of Pendleton, OR, and Janice Brewer of Pendleton, OR; and many other relatives.

Sam was preceded in death by grandfather, Joseph Larson; great-grandparents, Gilbert Coyle, Donald Harsh, Ronald Larson, and Patricia Larson; great-great grandmother, Lillian Rosentrater; uncle, Bryan Coyle; second cousins and infant twins, Eric and James Harsh; and many other relatives.

Funeral services will be Friday, August 25, 2017 at 11:00 am at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Eau Claire with Pastor Nathan Aaseng officiating.  Visitation will be Thursday, August 24, 2017 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Smith Funeral Chapel and one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church.  Burial will follow the service on Friday at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery.

  1. Sam was a very special girl with “pet whispering” powers-at least with my pets. She was such a strong young lady who challenged many health barriers in her short life. She will be missed greatly! Prayers to all her family and friends during this difficult time!

  5. I am so very sorry for your loss. I will not pretend to know what you are going through as I am sure the pain is horrific from losing a child. Just know your family and friends are here for you in your time of sorrow. Remember she was always laughing so remember that about her. Remember all the good she did. Also, remember she will be with you always. Prayers for you and the family!!

  6. Samantha todays the first day after you where layed to rest and I just want you to know that there will never be a day that goes by that I will not be thinking about you an everything you did in your short life that helped some many ppl. I’m so proud of you baby girl love dad
